Anne Doris
Vice President-Southern Arizona
An eighteen-year veteran of the cable television and communications industry, Anne is the vice president for Cox Communications in Southern Arizona. Cox serves over 300,000 service subscribers in 13 communities throughout Southern Arizona. Overall, Cox Communications serves about 3 million residential and business service subscribers in Arizona.
Previously, she was the vice president of operations for Cox Sports Television, a regional sports network serving approximately 930,000 customers throughout Louisiana and the Southeast. Formerly, she had been senior vice president, marketing and programming with On Command Corporation. Prior to her role at On Command, Anne Doris was vice president, marketing strategy & communication for Velocom Inc., a competitive provider of integrated, broadband communication services in Latin America. She also served as vice president of marketing and programming for CableVision S.A., the leading pay television provider in Argentina.
Since joining the cable television industry in 1988, Anne Doris has held several marketing and programming management positions with leading companies such as Comcast Cable, Tele-communications International Inc. (Liberty Media International), United Artists Cable and ATC (Time-Warner Cable). She also led her own consulting practice in marketing operations, content acquisition and negotiation for US and international cable and satellite companies.
She served as an online E-Classroom expert for Penn State and Michigan State University in Fall Semester 1999 and 2000; was a Member of the Fulbright Commission (Argentina) in 1997 and 1998 and currently serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees for Tucson Regional Economic Opportunities, Inc. (TREO) and of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. She is a former member of the Board of Rocky Mountain PBS in Colorado.
Anne Doris holds a MBA from Long Island University and a BA from City College of New York.
